VINCENT HERRING

Alto Saxophonist Vincent Herring came to prominence in last era of the jazz giants, and worked with a who’s who of them: Horace Silver, Art Blakey, Louis Hayes, Cedar Walton, Dizzy Gillespie, Nat Adderley, Freddie Hubbard and Nancy Wison to name a few. His fiery and ebullient playing also brought him together with a great number of his generation’s finest including Roy Hargrove, Wallace Roney, and Jeremy Pelt. Herring has recorded over 20 albums as a leader and over 250 as a sideman.
