Grammy nominated Pianist Benito Gonzalez has absorbed the influences of such pianists as Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett while remaining rooted in the traditional folk music of his native Venezuela. Winner of The Great America Jazz Piano Competition and a Steinway & Sons artist, Gonzalez came to prominence in the band of saxophone legend Jackie McLean, and has been an important voice in the bands of Kenny Garrett, Pharoah Sanders, Bobby Hutcherson, Christian McBride, Nicholas Peyton, Jeff ”Tain” Watts, Buster Williams, and Antonio Sanchez.

Japanese-born pianist Miki Yamanaka has established herself as one of the leading players of her generation. She has gained international recognition from her recorded work as a leader, and the iconic Downbeat Jazzmagazine has repeatedly awarded her albums high marks. As a sideman, Yamanaka has worked with Jazz luminaries such as alto saxophonist Antonio Hart, who posits “Miki will be recognized as one of the most exceptional artists of her generation” as well as the Harish Raghavan Quintet and The Mingus Big band.

Vibraphonist Simon Moullier is a major new voice on the jazz scene and a multi addition to fourteen years of experience playing with Dizzy Gillespie, he has also faceted improviser, composer, arranger and producer. He is also an important bandleader, leading a Quartet of four unique, cohesive personalities that function together as a true unit. Over his long career he has played with Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, Clark Terry, Milt Jackson, Ray Brown, Dizzy Gillespie, Nancy Wilson, Joe Pass, Lionel Hampton, Anita O’Day, Sonny Stitt, Carmen MacRae, Kenny Burrell, Benny Golson, Sarah Vaughan, Wynton Marsalis, and Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis. His virtuosic piano playing, inspired by Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson, is matched by his vocal style, blending deep blues roots with a poetic delivery. Joining will be young master bassist Joey Raineri.
