Peter Bernstein Quartet @ Green Block & Studios
Guitarist Peter Bernstein has been one of the leading voices in Jazz for over 30 years. While he has helped to redefine the role of the guitar in jazz along with the Likes of Kurt Rosenwinkel, John Scofield and other modern masters, Bernstein’s deep jazz roots and are always front and center.
Zaccai Curtis Group @ College of the Atlantic
Zaccai Curtis is a pianist of Puerto Rican and African American decent who is a key figure in a long tradition of merging the music of both cultures. He was the winner of the 2025 “Best Latin Jazz Album” for his recording “Cubop Lives”, and continues to explore the intersection of Afro Cuban and Latin music with Jazz.

Toninho Horta Quartet @ Green Block & Studios

Master Composer, Guitarist and vocalist Toninho Horta is a legend of Brazilian music whose influence has also shaped contemporary jazz globally. An early break with Milton Nascimento led him to work with Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ellis Regina, Sergio Mendes, and Chico Buarque, among a host of Brazil’s greatest musical icons. He released his debut solo album Terras Dos Passaros in 1980 and has been recording steadily since, winning a Grammy in 2020 with the album Belo Horizonte. Horta lived in the US in the 1990s and established close musical partnerships with a who’s who of American jazz musicians, working with the likes of Wayne Shorter, Pat Metheny and Herbie Hancock. Joining in his quartet will be two young giants, 24 year old piano prodigy Tyler Henderson and the great journeyman bassist Alex Claffy. Rounding out the band will be Horta’s colleague for over 50 years, master percussionist Duduka da Fonseca.

Canadian born bassist Brandi Disterheft relocated to NYC after winning a JUNO award for her debut album. She went on to record with the legendary pianist Hank Jones and has since captivated audiences in Japan, Europe,and the USA including performances at Carnegie Hall, and the Vienna Opera House. She has collaborated with Anita O’day Benny Green, Cyrus Chestnut, Vincent Herring and Renee Rosnes.

Jeremy Pelt is one of the preeminent trumpeters in jazz, voted rising star five years in a row by Downbeat Magazine. Both traditionalist and modernist, he has performed all over the globe, and recorded ten albums under his name. Pelt’s CV includes working with Cedar Walton, Louis Hayes, Ravi Coltrane, Frank Foster, Jimmy Heath, Nancy Wilson, and The Skatalites. He was also the subject of a recent New York Times piece about his four volume series of written portraits entitled “Griot: Examining the lives of Jazz’s great storytellers.” Pelt has been a long time mentor to younger up and coming musicians, and will be joined by his quintet of some of the music’s most exciting young players.

Grammy nominated Pianist Benito Gonzalez has absorbed the influences of such pianists as Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett while remaining rooted in the traditional folk music of his native Venezuela. Winner of The Great America Jazz Piano Competition and a Steinway & Sons artist, Gonzalez came to prominence in the band of saxophone legend Jackie McLean, and has been an important voice in the bands of Kenny Garrett, Pharoah Sanders, Bobby Hutcherson, Christian McBride, Nicholas Peyton, Jeff ”Tain” Watts, Buster Williams, and Antonio Sanchez.

Japanese-born pianist Miki Yamanaka has established herself as one of the leading players of her generation. She has gained international recognition from her recorded work as a leader, and the iconic Downbeat Jazzmagazine has repeatedly awarded her albums high marks. As a sideman, Yamanaka has worked with Jazz luminaries such as alto saxophonist Antonio Hart, who posits “Miki will be recognized as one of the most exceptional artists of her generation” as well as the Harish Raghavan Quintet and The Mingus Big band.

Vibraphonist Simon Moullier is a major new voice on the jazz scene and a multi addition to fourteen years of experience playing with Dizzy Gillespie, he has also faceted improviser, composer, arranger and producer. He is also an important bandleader, leading a Quartet of four unique, cohesive personalities that function together as a true unit. He has worked with Gerald Clayton, Ben Wendel, Terri-Lyne Carrington, Buster Williams, Mark Turner, Kendrick Scott, and Miguel Zenon and has released four albums, with one nominated “Best New Jazz Artist” at the Jazz Music Awards in 2022.

Johnny O’Neal is a certified jazz legend, one of the few still walking the earth. Over his long career he has played with Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, Clark Terry, Milt Jackson, Ray Brown, Dizzy Gillespie, Nancy Wilson, Joe Pass, Lionel Hampton, Anita O’Day, Sonny Stitt, Carmen MacRae, Kenny Burrell, Benny Golson, Sarah Vaughan, Wynton Marsalis, and Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis. His virtuosic piano playing, inspired by Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson, is matched by his vocal style, blending deep blues roots with a poetic delivery. Joining will be young master bassist Joey Raineri.
