BARRY HARRIS
Pianist and educator Dr. Barry Harris grew up in Detroit and by his 30s was already developing into one of the most important cultural ambassador’s of the music created by Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk and others knows as Bebop. Barry sat in with Charlie Parker as teenager, worked with Miles Davis and Gene Ammons before joining Max Roach’s group, which led him eventually to NYC, where he worked and record with legends such as Coleman Hawkins, Dexter Gordon, Cannonball Adderley, and Lee Morgan.
JEREMY PELT
Jeremy Pelt is one of the preeminent trumpeters in jazz, voted rising star five years in a row by Downbeat Magazine. Both traditionalist and modernist, he has performed all over the globe, and recorded ten albums under his name. Pelt’s CV includes working with Cedar Walton, Louis Hayes, Ravi Coltrane, Frank Foster, Jimmy Heath, Nancy Wilson, and The Skatalites.

Winner of the Great America Jazz Piano Competition and a Steinway & Sons artist, Benito Gonzales is making his name as a solo powerhouse jazz artist, as well as a preeminent sideman with great bandleaders such as Jackie McLean, Kenny Garrett, Pharoah Sanders, Bobby Hutcherson, Christian McBride, Nicholas Peyton, Jeff ”Tain” Watts, Buster Williams, and Antonio Sanchez.
