Johnny O’Neal is a certified jazz legend, one of the few still walking theearth. Over his long career he has played with Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, Clark Terry, Milt Jackson, Ray Brown, Dizzy Gillespie, Nancy Wilson, Joe Pass, Lionel Hampton, Anita O’Day, Sonny Stitt, Carmen MacRae, Kenny Burrell, Benny Golson, Sarah Vaughan, Wynton Marsalis, and Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis. His virtuosic piano playing, inspired by Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson, is matched by his vocal style, blending deep blues roots with a poetic delivery. Joining will be young master bassist Joey Raineri.
