Guitarist Peter Bernstein has been one of the leading voices in Jazz for over 30 years. While he has helped to redefine the role of the guitar in jazz along with the Likes of Kurt Rosenwinkel, John Scofield and other modern masters, Bernstein’s deep jazz roots and are always front and center. He his signature sparkling sound is purely guitar into amplifier, foregoing the arsenal of sound processing effects favored by most of his peers. In their place, he is able to coax a stunning array of tones and dynamics out of his instrument, perfectly complimenting deeply personal musical language which is at once bluesy and soulful, modern and abstract. In a long and varied career he has worked in the bands of Sonny Rollins, Jimmy Cobb, Brad Meldhau, Lee Konitz, Joshua Redman, and his long time trio with Larry Goldings on organ and Bill Stewart on drums.

Joining in his quartet are a who’s who of contemporary jazz musicians; The brilliant and adventurous Aaron Goldberg on piano, master journeyman bassist Vicente Archer, and one of the world’s greatest drummers, Bill Stewart.
